Deep Community Roots: I have been part of this community through every stage of life—from my school days to my roles as an educator, administrator, volunteer and trustee. I understand the challenges our families and educators face because I have lived them.
Proven Leadership: As a lifelong, “forever” public school educator, I have served as an elementary and middle school teacher, administrator, professional development specialist, Executive Director for School Improvement, and Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction. My leadership spans four San Antonio school districts, giving me a unique and diverse perspective on public school education. Later, I was selected to work with low-performing schools and districts throughout Texas—further strengthening my commitment and expertise.
Current Roles & Initiatives: I currently serve as the Director for School Experiences at CAST Schools (Centers for Applied Science and Technology). We partner with public school districts to establish and support innovative, career themed public schools across San Antonio. Additionally, I teach classes at UTSA College of Education and Human Development and the College of Sciences.
